Dependable Homeowners Coverage (HO3)
Our HO3 Special Form homeowners policy protects your home, most other structures and belongings from an extensive range of potential losses. Structures can be covered for losses such as weather, fire, theft, vandalism and pretty much everything in between, called Open Perils* protection. Your personal belongings may be covered for the Named Perils** listed, with some limitations. The policy can help pay for bodily injury or property damage that you are legally responsible for, such as when a guest is injured on your property, or you or a family member accidentally injure someone or damage their property.
Most homeowners insurance policies do not cover damage from floods or earthquakes. However, there may be additional coverage options available to purchase.
Homeowners Policy (HO5)
There is a key difference between an HO-3 and HO-5 policy. While you would still get the extensive open peril* coverage for the physical structure of your home that an HO-3 policy provides, an HO-5 policy also offers additional open peril* coverage for your belongings. And similar to an HO-3, your HO-5 can help pay for property damage or bodily injury that you are legally responsible for. An example would be a guest injured on your property or you, or a family member, accidentally injure someone or damage their property.
Typically damage from flood or earthquakes are not covered on a homeowners insurance policy. However, additional coverage options may be available to purchase.
*Open Perils – coverage is provided for all loss types unless specifically excluded. Standard exclusions include but not limited to earthquake, flood, nuclear disaster, acts of war and intentional loss.
**Named Perils – coverage is provided for specific perils only. Typically include fire, lightning, windstorm or hail, explosion, riot, aircraft damage, vehicle damage, vandalism, theft, among others. Some perils may still be excluded.
Actual Coverage will be determined at the time and location of the loss, based on the coverage in place, and laws in effect in the jurisdiction where the loss occurred.

Dwelling Fire Coverage (DP3)
A DP3 dwelling fire policy is the most comprehensive policy available for rental and other non-owner occupied homes and provides protection from damage for the same perils as a Special Form homeowners policy (HO3). These policies protect the home and most attached or unattached structures, and contents. You can choose for your coverage to also include your landlord’s furnishings, to cover a small amount such as appliances, or more if the dwelling is rented furnished.
